About Dubai Water Canal
The AED 2.7 billion Dubai Water Canal was delivered by the RTA with Meydan and Meraas and inaugurated in November 2016, extending Dubai Creek from Business Bay through Safa Park and Jumeirah to the Arabian Gulf. It runs 3.2 km, is 80 to 120 metres wide and 6 metres deep, creating about 6.4 km of new waterfront. Crossings include the eight-lane Sheikh Zayed Road bridge, which carries an engineered waterfall.
