Aldar's official naming for the development is Fahid Island; Al Fahid Island is the longer name of the natural island. The masterplan launched in June 2025 with a gross development value above AED 40 billion, covering 2.7 million sq m with 11 km of coastline, 4.6 km of beach and more than 6,000 homes. Over 30% is natural space including mangroves. It is billed as the world's first Fitwel-certified island.
